“Inspiring students to connect with Christ, own their faith, and impact their world”

About Us

Strong churches are not built on programs, personalities, or gimmicks; they are built on the eternal purposes of God. That is the foundation of our student ministry as well. The purpose of a church has five important elements. These purposes can be found in dozens of passages throughout the Bible. Two key passages contain all five the elements that are critical to ministry.

Great Commandment:

“Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." Matthew 22:37-40

Great Commission:

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20

The Five Elements of Purpose:
Worship
Ministry
Evangelism
Fellowship
Discipleship

In the FUMC Student Ministry, it is essential that you know and understand our purpose statement. Our goal is to incorporate each of these elements listed above as we fulfill our purpose.

The FUMC Student Ministry is here:

“Inspiring students to connect with Christ, own their faith, and impact their world!”

We want to attract students to Christ, develop them as believers, equip them for ministry, and challenge them to lead.
